Cave Paintings Recreated
Mrs. Shelton’s art students “visited” and studied the Lascaux Caves in Southern France by taking a “video fieldtrip”. The world famous caves are believed to be between 10,000 to 30,000 years old and are known for their Paleolithic (Stone Age) paintings. They were discovered by 4 teenagers in the 1960’s and have since been visited by countless people from all over the world. The following picture is a recreation of the caves displayed by four of the students from the class.
