A new Board member has been selected by the Quincy School Board to fill the vacant seat on the Board. JoAnn Garces was chosen by the Board of Directors at a special Board meeting held on November 2.
Mrs. Garces will serve on the Board to complete the unexpired term of Alan Balciar who resigned from the Board when he moved away from the district earlier this year.
Mrs. Garces is a lifelong resident of Quincy and currently has two children attending Quincy Schools. Herself a graduate of Quincy High School, Mrs. Garces has been employed by the Quincy Valley Hospital for almost 18 years. We welcome her to her new role as a School Board Director and look forward to working with her in this important responsibility.
