Quincy School Board recognized as a Board of Distinction for the 7th year in a row!

The Quincy School District School board was named among 30 Washington school boards as a Board of Distinction by the Washington State School Directors' Association (WSSDA). This is the school board's seventh year in a row being recognized by WSSDA. Quincy School District board members are Chris Baumgartner, Jack Foglesong, Heather Folks-Lambert, Chad Lower and Tricia Lubach.

“The Quincy school board is appreciative of being recognized as a Board of Distinction for the seventh year in a row. Our board has worked collaboratively with Dr. Bergman to create a strong leadership team focused on serving the students and families in Quincy. Our phenomenal school district staff deserves the credit for putting those plans into action and supporting the dreams of our students,” said board member Tricia Lubach.

To be awarded, boards had to show a clear link between their leadership in applying the Washington School Board Standards and closing gaps that impact student success

“I am so thankful for our exceptionally hard-working school board for all their work in guiding the development of the new strategic plan. They are an amazing group of leaders,” said Superintendent Dr. Nik Bergman.

WSSDA will honor the Boards of Distinction and Boards of the Year at the WSSDA Annual Conference in Spokane on November 17-19, 2022.
