Get Ready for ParentSquare! Account Activation Begins Soon 

Last spring, we shared that the Quincy School District would be transitioning from Remind to ParentSquare as our primary communication platform following the discontinuation of Remind. We're excited to share that this transition is now underway!

Parents/Guardians: Next week you will receive an email and/or text message inviting you to activate your ParentSquare account. Be sure to watch for this message; it only takes a minute to get started! ParentSquare uses the email addresses and mobile phone numbers currently on file in Skyward. Simply activate your ParentSquare account using the email address or phone number you have on file with the district. If you need to update your contact information, please contact your child's school beginning August 12, and school staff will be happy to assist you.

Quincy School District Staff: You will also receive a ParentSquare account activation email sent to your Quincy School District email address. If you are also a parent or guardian of a Quincy School District student, ParentSquare will prompt you to merge your staff and parent accounts so you can easily access both from a single login (optional to merge accounts). Additional information and instructions for staff will be sent to your QSD email in the coming days

ParentSquare is an all-in-one communication platform that makes it easier for families, students, and staff to stay informed and connected. With ParentSquare, you can:

• Receive district, school, classroom, and athletic/activity updates in one convenient place.
• Choose how and when you'd like to receive notifications, including instant alerts or a daily digest.
• Communicate securely with teachers and school staff through two-way messaging.
•  Automatically translate messages into your preferred language.
• Access important forms, permission slips, sign-ups, event information, and more in one place.

Activate Your Account

Please note, families will continue to receive school communications even if you don't activate your account. However, activating your account allows you to:

• Customize your notification preferences and select your preferred language.
• Download and use the free ParentSquare mobile app and access all ParentSquare features from your computer or mobile device.

La primavera pasada compartimos que el Distrito Escolar de Quincy haría la transición de Remind a ParentSquare como nuestra principal plataforma de comunicación, debido a la descontinuación de Remind. ¡Nos da mucho gusto informarles que esta transición ya está en marcha!

Padres, madres y tutores: La próxima semana recibirán un correo electrónico y/o un mensaje de texto invitándolos a activar su cuenta de ParentSquare. ¡Estén atentos! Activarla solo toma un minuto. ParentSquare utiliza el correo electrónico y el número de teléfono celular que actualmente tenemos registrados en Skyward. Simplemente activen su cuenta utilizando el correo electrónico o número de teléfono que tienen registrado con el distrito. Si necesitan actualizar su información de contacto, comuníquense con la escuela de su estudiante a partir del 12 de agosto, y con gusto el personal escolar les ayudará.

¿Por qué ParentSquare?

ParentSquare es una plataforma de comunicación todo en uno que facilita que las familias, los estudiantes y el personal se mantengan informados y conectados. Con ParentSquare podrán:

• Recibir en un solo lugar los avisos del distrito, la escuela, el salón de clases y las actividades deportivas y extracurriculares.
• Elegir cómo y cuándo desean recibir las notificaciones, ya sea al instante o en un resumen diario.
• Comunicarse de forma segura con maestros y personal escolar mediante mensajes bidireccionales.
• Traducir automáticamente los mensajes a su idioma preferido.
• Acceder en un solo lugar a formularios importantes, permisos, registros, información de eventos y mucho más.

Activen su cuenta

Tomen en cuenta que las familias seguirán recibiendo las comunicaciones escolares aunque no activen su cuenta. Sin embargo, al activarla podrán:

• Personalizar sus preferencias de notificación y elegir su idioma preferido.
• Descargar y usar la aplicación gratuita de ParentSquare, además de acceder a todas sus funciones desde su computadora o dispositivo móvil.
