Quincy School District Hosts Successful 5th Annual Family Festival

Quincy, WA - The Migrant and Multilingual Programs sponsored the 5th Annual Quincy School District Family Festival on Saturday, April 29th, with support from program parents, students, and staff as well as Migrant Parent Advisory Council (PAC) parents. The event was held at Quincy Middle School, and it was a huge success.

The festival began with a parade, which kicked off at 2 pm, and was followed by a series of events that lasted until 6 pm. The festival was free and included educational, health, and community resources, with colleges and universities also in attendance. Attendees were also treated to live music and giveaways of donated items.

Quincy Partnership for Youth donated 400 meals, Molina Healthcare donated two bikes, La Nueva Adixion music group donated a free hour of live music, LG Driving donated a 50-inch TV, The Gorge Amphitheatre donated a gift basket, and Nice N Kleen donated goodies for the parade. Several vendors also conducted individual giveaways.

The festival was a tremendous success, with 615 people participating. It was an excellent opportunity for the school and Quincy community to come together and enjoy a day of fun and education. The festival provided access to resources and information that people may not have been able to access otherwise.

"The success of the 5th Annual Quincy School District Family Festival was due to the collaboration and hard work of parents students and staff of the Migrant & Multilingual Programs as well as our school community," said a representative from the Quincy School District. "We are grateful for the support we received from our sponsors and volunteers, and we look forward to continuing this tradition in the future."

El Distrito Escolar de Quincy organiza exitosamente el 5to Festival Familiar Anual

Quincy, WA - El Programa para Migrantes y Multilingüe patrocinó el 5to Festival Familiar Anual del Distrito Escolar de Quincy el sábado 29 de abril, con el apoyo de padres, estudiantes y personal del programa, así como de padres del Consejo Asesor de Padres para Migrantes. El evento se llevó a cabo en la Quincy Middle School y fue un gran éxito.

El festival comenzó con un desfile que comenzó a las 2 pm, seguido de una serie de eventos que duraron hasta las 6 pm. El festival fue gratuito e incluyó recursos educativos, de salud y comunitarios, con la asistencia de universidades y colegios. Los asistentes también disfrutaron de música en vivo y premios de artículos donados.

La Asociación para la Juventud de Quincy (QPY) donó 400 comidas, Molina Healthcare donó dos bicicletas, el grupo musical La Nueva Adixion donó una hora gratis de música en vivo, LG Driving donó un televisor de 50 pulgadas, The Gorge Amphitheatre donó una canasta de regalos y Nice N Kleen donó obsequios para el desfile. Varios vendedores también realizaron sorteos individuales.


El festival fue un tremendo éxito, con la participación de 615 personas. Fue una excelente oportunidad para que la escuela y la comunidad de Quincy se unieran y disfrutaran de un día de diversión y educación. El festival proporcionó acceso a recursos e información a los que quizás no habrían podido acceder de otra manera.
