Superintendent Message - Thank you certificated staff!

A collage of photos celebrating Teacher Appreciation Week features a large "Thank you! Gracias!" at the top, with various groups of students and adults in the foreground and a yellow grid pattern with a rabbit illustration in the background.
This week is Teacher Appreciation Week, and I want to share something from a conference I attended.

I had the privilege of hearing Ruben Mayes deliver the Sunday evening keynote. A former WSU Cougar, NFL running back, and a true groundbreaker, his keynote centered around the mission of Seattle Children’s:
For every child. And every dream still to come. We won’t stop.

I read those words and immediately thought of the work our teachers and certificated staff do here in the Quincy School District.
That is exactly what they do. Every single day, they show up for every child, for every dream still taking shape, and they do not stop. Not when it’s hard, not when it’s messy, not when no one is watching. This level of love and dedication is simply who our teachers and certificated staff members are.

The work of our certificated staff is profound, and the impact they have on the lives of Quincy children is something I find so humbling.
To every teacher and certificated staff member in Quincy School District, thank you. What you do for our children is extraordinary, and it is the honor of my career to serve alongside you.

Happy Teacher Appreciation Week.

With appreciation,
Nik Bergman
