We're Making the Switch - Moving from Remind to ParentSquare August 2026
We’re excited to share that the Quincy School District will be transitioning to a new communication platform called ParentSquare for the 2026-27 school year.
 
ParentSquare will replace Remind, our current communication tool, which is being discontinued. This transition allows us to bring all school and district communication into one place, making it easier for you to stay informed and connected.
 
What this means for families
ParentSquare will feel familiar in many ways, while also offering new tools to make communication even easier. Families will still be able to:
  • Receive messages from their child’s school and teachers by text, email, or app
  • Send and receive direct messages with staff
  • Communicate in their preferred language with automatic two-way translation (190+ languages)
New features families will have access to:
  • View school announcements and calendar events all in one place (we will be discontinuing the QSD mobile app)  
  • Sign forms and permission slips digitally
  • Schedule meetings
  • RSVP to school events
  • Choose how and what time they receive messages (text, email, or app)
Easy to use, all in one place.
Everything will be accessible through a free mobile app, by text message, or by email, whichever works best for families.
 
No action is needed right now.
We know transitions like this can take time, and we are committed to making this as smooth as possible for our families. Over the next few months, we will share simple steps to help families get started, including how to activate their accounts and customize their preferences.

Nos da mucho gusto compartirles que el Distrito Escolar de Quincy hará la transición a una nueva plataforma de comunicación llamada ParentSquare para el año escolar 2026-2027.
 
ParentSquare reemplazará a Remind, nuestra herramienta actual de comunicación, la cual dejará de utilizarse. Este cambio nos permitirá tener toda la comunicación de las escuelas y del distrito en un solo lugar, facilitando que usted se mantenga informado y conectado.
 
¿Qué significa esto para las familias?
ParentSquare será familiar en muchos aspectos, pero también ofrecerá nuevas herramientas para hacer la comunicación aún más sencilla. Familias podrán seguir:
  • Recibiendo mensajes de la escuela de su hijo(a) y de sus maestros por mensaje de texto, correo electrónico o por la aplicación móvil
  • Enviando y recibiendo mensajes directos con el personal escolar
  • Comunicándose en su idioma preferido con traducción automática en ambos sentidos (más de 190 idiomas
Nuevas funciones disponibles:
  • Ver anuncios escolares y eventos del calendario en un solo lugar (dejaremos de usar la aplicación móvil de QSD)
  • Firmar formularios y permisos de manera digital
  • Programar reuniones
  • Confirmar asistencia a eventos escolares (RSVP)
  • Elegir cómo y a qué hora desea recibir los mensajes (texto, correo electrónico o aplicación)
 
Fácil de usar, todo en un solo lugar
Todo estará disponible a través de una aplicación móvil gratuita, por mensaje de texto o por correo electrónico, según lo que sea más conveniente para nuestras familias.
 
No necesita hacer nada por ahora.
Sabemos que este tipo de cambios puede tomar tiempo, y estamos comprometidos a hacer esta transición lo más sencilla posible para nuestras familias.
