Junior High (Ancient Lakes Elementary) Modernization

The upcoming modernization of the Junior High into a new K-5 elementary school will be completed in phases, as the school will remain open during construction. During the summer of 2017, portables will be relocated from George Elementary and some new office trailers will be brought onsite to hold various classrooms and administration during construction. The existing locker room space will be converted into three classrooms and the existing commons will turn into a new classroom as well. Once the 2017-2018 school year starts, the existing two-story building will be under construction and staff and students will occupy the remainder of the school. The gymnasium will serve double duty as both a gymnasium and cafeteria. During the summer of 2018, the east classroom wing will be renovated, portables removed and parking lot/playground will be developed. At the beginning of the 2019-2020 school year, students in grades 6-8 will transition to the updated Quincy Middle School (currently Quincy High School), and the new elementary will open to K-5 students. CLICK HERE for an informational PowerPoint.

 

Modernización de Junior High (Ancient Lakes Elementary)

Se completará la próxima modernización de la Junior High en una nueva escuela de K-5 grado en fases, pero la escuela permanecerá abierta durante la construcción. Durante el verano de 2017, portátiles serán reubicados de la escuela elementaría de George y algunas nuevas oficinas portátiles se pondrán en el sitio con varios salones y oficinas para administración durante la construcción. El espacio de vestuarios existentes se convertirá en tres salones y las salas existente se convertirá en un nuevo salón. Una vez que empieza el año 2017-2018, el edificio de dos pisos existente estará bajo construcción y el personal y los estudiantes ocuparán el resto de la escuela. El gimnasio servirá doble como un gimnasio y cafetería. Durante el verano de 2018, los salones del ala del este serán renovados, portátiles serán removidos y un estacionamiento se desarrollará.
