We are pleased to announce the selection for our next Athletic Director for the Quincy High School. Through a comprehensive hiring process, Brett Fancher has been selected as the new Athletic Director and will start on July 1, 2019. We also want to take this opportunity to thank Mark Kondo and Kaycie Tuttle for their service to Quincy High School athletics over the last few years.
Mr. Fancher has both his Master’s Degree in Curriculum and Instruction and Administrator certificate endorsement from Eastern Washington University. He comes to us from the Oroville School District where he is an English/Social Studies teacher at Oroville High School. Mr. Fancher has also served as the Athletic Director at Oroville Jr./Sr. High School where he administered District, League and WIAA policies and lead an initiative to train coaching staff to use the ImPACT assessment tool to monitor an athletes recovery from a suspected concussion.
“Mr. Fancher excelled in every aspect of the selection process,” commented Superintendent John Boyd. “Dr. Pimpleton and I feel he is the right person to support our athletes and coaches to great success.”
Brett also brings with him effective communication and problem-solving skills that resulted in him representing the Central Washington B League on the District 6 Executive Board. In addition to that, he has experience working in rural communities and has found success in hiring and retaining coaches.
Mr. Fancher is enthusiastic to join the Quincy School District, "My wife, Michele and I are excited to be moving to Quincy to join the Quincy School District team. When we had the opportunity to meet the community, we were impressed with the outpouring of support we saw for Quincy Schools. We look forward to meeting everybody, and can't wait to get to work."
We are confident that Brett’s background and experience will be a great asset to our athletic department. Please join us in welcoming Brett Fancher to his new role.
